Over 16 years experience

Amanda Cox-Edwards trained at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, graduating in 2003. She subsequently ran a busy practice in London for over 13 years before returning to her hometown of Melbourne in 2017.

During her time in the UK, Amanda was a member and secretary of the London Acupuncture Childbirth Team, and a founding member of the Bristol Acupuncture Childbirth & Conception Team. She also ran the London College of Traditional Acupuncture teaching clinics, and was a member of the LCTA teaching staff for several years.

Amanda’s clinical experience has encompassed top clinics in Melbourne and London, including the Fertile Ground Health Group (Melbourne), and the Kailash Centre and Nelsons Homeopathic Clinic (London).

She joined Victoria Avenue Wellbeing in Albert Park in 2017.

In 2019, Amanda realised her long-held ambition of establishing her own clinic. Upwey Acupuncture was founded in February 2019 on a hill overlooking the Dandenong Ranges National Park.

She continues to update her studies and knowledge with regular seminars and courses on an ongoing basis.

Amanda has built up a wealth of experience, working with a variety of health conditions.

She aims to not only improve the physical health of her patients, but to support them emotionally and walk beside them as they take their journey to improved health.

As a member of AHPRA and AACMA she is government regulated, and is able to provide health insurance rebates. She is an overseas member of the British Acupuncture Council.
